Somehow I started actually saying it... it immediately ticked off my girlfriend who claimed it was made-up, and more importantly extremely annoying.

I finally had to Urban Dictionary the word to prove it meant something and wasn't invented by me :lol:

This guy was very concerned with taking someone who wasn't going to bail after a few weeks or months. I made it clear that I wasn't going to do that IF I took the job, and I'm not going to go back on my word. Maybe I'm not thinking about it right... this is my first post-graduate job. But I don't wana fuck anybody over

That's wicked advice! Thanks RBP. That's a really interesting piece of insight. I for sure see what you're talking about. The alternative to this job is taking a split customer service - personal account manager position at a bank and I'd be doing that alone for a couple years probably.




It's not quite going to be full time for a month or two as well because things are slow... so I'd still be around to drive Lance crazy for a while :lol:

I agree - I was with a small firm and got to wear many hats which gave be good insight into what aspects of the industry I liked and did not. Also as long as the firm grows - you are in at the ground floor and sometimes get to pick what you want to do and what you want to let others do.

I was able to customize my position and it made work more interesting.

Besides - even if you spend a year at it - that is still 1 yr of practical experience - even if you decide you hate the job - at least you now know you don't want to do that :)

For sure! And I think a year at a small firm would help me get recognized a little more with a big one a few years down the road. It's pretty difficult to get some of the Big Banks to really give you the time of day.
