another guy here asked for a raise, was insulted, and he got a new job this past Friday. His last day is Nov 28th, same as me. He's an order picker that does about 3 times the work of the remaining guys...those remaining guys are in for an eye opener...

A former apprentice from years ago showed up at work, turns out he lost his job, had to move from a house to a room-for-rent and 80% of his unemployment check is still being taken away for child support even though he has full custody of his daughter and the mom took off over a year ago and can't be found. #systembroken

Apparently he was denied welfare assistance because he gets too much in unemployment pre-deduction. And cause he's white. He came around asking for scrap metal to turn in and buy groceries, I gave him about $200 in aluminum scrap I'd been saving for a rainy day.
I guess thats my good deed for the year.

Lake Erie hasn't frozen over yet and conditions were just right. Winds were blowing just the right direction across the lake lengthwise. Cold air picks up moisture from the warm lake for the entire length of Erie and dumps it when it hits land.

usually November is one of the coldest/snowiest/shittiest months during our winter..especially cold.

It's supposed to snow today and the next few days.....no snow on my commute this morning but it took 1.5 hours.......:x

It was snowing this morning on my way in, I didn't expect to see any snow, it was a bit of a surprise. But as the temp was hovering right around freezing, the roads were just wet. But there were still people out there driving like scared little girls as if they were about to go flying off the road at any second. :wha:

Today was just volume....I travel up a busy off ramp, to merge down onto a major road. This off ramp has 3 feeder lanes that merge into it from different directions so it can get a little hairy.

I come cruising around the corner and two people are parked there, middle of the off ramp, exchanging information after having a fender bender

Just back from my first ever dental root treatment......... relatively painless :) That may change when the numbness wears off right enough :lol: Half my nose is numb :x
