Hey, i started watching Falling Skies at the weekend, not bad at all :tup: They've got 4 or 5 seasons (i think) on the Sky Plus "on demand" thing atm (it's like Netflix, only with a lot less stuff :lol: )

I know with Netflix the US get a lot more content than we do......... so i use unblockus.com to view NetflixUSA :dance: Only $5 per month....... which is about a pint of lager :lol: The US netflix has Supernatural, UK doesn't so it was worth it for that alone :)

No, it was the worst day of my life. We had to lie to her all morning, while taking her jewelry and packing some clothes...and in the middle of it she knew what was happening, completely lucid and she cried for 2 hours straight as we drove there.

She stuffed it with everything from food to gifts....and used this really dodgy courier service that charged her less than 100 dollars ( 77 bucks last time ) to get it there.

I guess it was a Filipino express sort of courier, only taking goods going to certain destinations there and charging cheap for the boatride or whatever.

Maybe some advice Lance....when we shipped across borders everything had to have a tax ID code. For example if we made a package with sports tickets that contained tickets, a scarf, a keychain etc, we would have to list all codes or the package gets held by customs.

I think individuals can get a broker to help with the process...couriers like UPS and Fedex have their own brokers but may charge a whack to ship the package. Just make sure you tell them exactly what's in the box and maybe get 10 dollars worth of insurance on it

They talked about distributors like car manufacturers and Walmart and restaurants....if the cars and food are produced in Canada, why is our Toyota Camry 6 thousand bucks more?

Same with breakfast, lunch and dinner up here....you guys can buy huge meals for very little comparatively....and chains like Walmart, electronics stores etc buy the same goods from overseas...how come our dvd's from China are 30% more than yours? It's all shipped to North America..

I'm assuming it's withholding tax? The same thing happens here in the States, although they give you the option to have the money withheld instead of doing it for you and you can choose what percent (if any) you want to have withheld. The bad part is, if you don't have any money withheld in taxes, then when tax time rolls around at the end of the year, you have to declare that money you cashed in as income and the taxes will all be due on it when you file, in addition to your regular income taxes.
