Exactly, the problem though is he convinced the big wigs it is a safety issue. Last I checked he can barely fix cars let alone make a decision on structural integrity of buildings. Until someone with experience in these types of things tells me not to use the door I'm going to continue to use it on a limited basis. There are way more dangerous safety issues here that are 100s of times more likely to hurt or kill someone. OSHA would shut this place down if they got an anonymous phone call.

Do you remember me telling the story about bringing down the wall last year? We had a entry way with large plastic strips like in car washes. From day one I had complained saying that the strips would get torn down with all of the forklift traffic. I even noticed that there was no load bearing horizontal support beam on the wall, it was just plasterboard tacked onto aluminum frames from floor to ceiling, about 40 feet up.

So of course I'm the guy who uses the entryway the most bringing shit in and out of the area with a forklift and last summer one of the strips gets caught in the forklift carriage where the forks stick out and Boom, the entire wall comes down as I back up at about 2 mph....probably the slowest I have ever driven that machine.

I have to spend over an hour cleaning up the mess, and I notice most of it came down on top of an order pickers desk. The light ballasts above his desk are gone.

So I'm feeling sad and angry and am ready to load up on anyone who wants to give me shit about it. It was a poorly designed idea just waiting to fail and if health and safety were called in, my old company would have lots of explaining to do.

I felt like I was literally set up....much like you I was forced to work in an area that was below par for whatever reason.

So my supervisor is actually very kind to me, says he watched the video and I did nothing wrong but the manager wants us to fill out an incident report. In every fucking category the multiple choices pointed at the employee for doing something wrong. I filled it out and created some new boxes on the form (I'm sure that made my manager very happy...) and told my super I filled it out under duress and am not happy...


Sorry to hijack Pony but if this guy is going to make a complaint and someone speaks to you (about a non-event that hasn't occurred yet...) maybe just ask loudly - OK SHOW ME WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO and I'll do it every day this happens.

I talked to my boss about it this morning and told him I'm going to continue to use the door on a limited basis, he shrugged his shoulders, smiled and then stepped over the cones and did a little dance. :lol:

Basically even if the big boss comes out and says something I should be OK. And like I said, I'm collecting evidence just in case. I even still have an audio recording of the foreman telling me to use silica sand to sandblast in the open area of the shop. It's illegal to do and there are even warnings on the bags of sand stating as much. Silica dust is nearly as bad as asbestos.

usually when I go buy tires, I get the mid-level priced ones. I never go with the cheapest, that's just a waste of money. Same with the most expensive. As it is, it usually runs me around $600 give or take when I replace the tires on my truck.

Exactly, at the very least they should have a different model name then what you can buy outside of walmart. Basically the walmart Goodyear "Integrity" and the non walmart Goodyear "Integrity" are two different tires from what I understand.

unbelievable...My Dad is on the phone right now with our old internet provider ...we switched from Shaw to Telus. Telus offered us a 50 dollar credit if we allowed them to cancel our old internet and TV plan with Shaw. We said sure, saves us a call.

Shaw called this morning and said that Telus wasn't allowed to cancel our service because ...and get this...because 'we didn't have our phone service with Shaw.'

Yesterday my sister took my Dad to one of her friends for dinner. We had a brutal freak hailstorm in our city. My Dad's one month old car has hail damage all over it. Sister is gutted and says it's her fault.

Then when the hail started I was behind an asshole who slammed on his brakes because of the torrential rain, not being able to see. Our hail storms tend to throw down large stones, people think of their cars and homes first...but if you try to drive around areas are flooded and huge branches come down, blocking the roads.

Man, been swamped. Averaging 100 hrs a week at work, but that's 14 days on and 14 off. Got home yesterday, hit Sears for some sales on tools, changed oil/filter, air filter, shocks, rotated tires, and changed ignition switch on the truck. On the car, new brake pads all around. Tomorrow going to moms house to do some work, then Sunday, change the oil in car. Then clean the yard, clean off trailer, skylight a couple more trees, cut grass. Then the fun stuff starts, lol. Have to level the porch and front of the house, fix the front door, and maybe, just maybe, caulk and paint the trim in the laundry room. Dammit, I need an undocumented citizen or two, lol
