Just got in, Had to take my son to get his immunizations for Jr. High this morning. Its was actually pretty funny. He's trying to act all cool but he is obviously nervous about getting shots. Goof you know me I stay at the tippy top of home theater technology. I dont own a 4k TV at all. It will do 4K pass through but not 4k native. The reason is nobody is truly making 4k content. For the most part its all upsampled 1080p because that is what it was shot at. Most HD TV broadcast is only 720p by the way. Right now its not worth the money till people really start supporting it plus in my personal opinion it looks fake to me. Its so clear that motion blur is minimal and special effects dont look real special. The "movie magic" illusion is kinda destroyed. When I built my current system I made sure it was compatible or upgradable but not native.

My previous 2 have been samsungs, fancied a change this time :) 1st one lasted over 5 years before it started to get screen burn, current one only lasted 3 years....... time for a brand change! Hisense (the brand im buying) are apparently the 3rd biggest tv manufacturer in the world, just sponsored the Euro footie championships (so must have plenty cash) and, from what ive read, their lcd/led screens are second only to LG's OLED screens....... which are about double the price :lol: Most of the reviews i've read are positive, the price is excellent (they're trying to crack the UK market atm) so i thought i'd give it a go :)
