The in-laws unfortunately. I'd much rather stay home and have a quiet Christmas day, but that never happens. Don't get me wrong, I like her family and get on with all of them well enough, but ffs they have to have get togethers every single month, so it takes some of the 'specialness' away from real holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have one guy out for 3 weeks for back surgery, he's the normal waterjet guy. So fine, I had a job that had to be run on the waterjet this morning, so I went and ran it. But, while I'm running the waterjet, my boss keeps calling. I know it's him because he lets it ring and ring and ring and ring and if no one answers, he just keeps calling back. Well, I'm kind of busy and don't have time to run to the phone. So the phone rings every 5 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile, 2 other guys don't bother showing up this morning and didn't tell me they weren't coming in. Meanwhile, one of the guys running one of the horizontal CNC's comes back and tells me the machine is acting up. So, I finish the waterjet job, go back to my desk and call the machine repair people that work on that machine. They're closed today for the Christmas weekend and won't be back open until Tuesday.

Okay, I ask, what late orders? :-s And he names off a couple of parts that he took over and was in charge of. Plus, he sat right here in a meeting with that customer last week while I was in the room and said that those parts had already been shipped. But somehow it's my fault that he lied to the customer and that I didn't realize the parts were late.

Sorry to hear but I have a similar one that may be worse. I was accused of doing something....when I was on 10 days holidays :lol:

Got hauled into the supervisor's office, he wants me to sign a form saying I did something wrong and have been admonished for said wrong doing.

I ask to see 'the evidence' and note the date was right in the middle of my vacation. So I stand up and point to his big month at a glance calendar on the wall. Day in question was right in the middle of my two week break.

I ask - Are we done here? And I'm laughing by this point.

We didn't get along and he STILL wants me acknowledge in writing that something wrong has happened.

A temp had signed my name (he thought it would be funny to do that) to about 20000 dollars worth of raw stock, promptly forgot where he put it and our digital press night shift ran the job without telling our group the next day.

I got a copy of the scanned bogus signature, found out who signed for it, spoke to the print ship supervisor and CSR associated with the client, and found the answer in about 15 minutes.

And that supervisor still wanted to hang me for it :facepalm:
