Of course :lol: Was at a 50th birthday party last night........ a bunch of us had all clubbed together to buy him a 40" HD tv, first time he's been speechless since ive known him :lol: He had a stroke last year and is only now beginning to improve, he can walk a bit with the aid of a walking stick albeit very slowly....... poor bugger. Anyway, the drugs he has to take apparently affect his vision, and with him spending a lot of time indoors recovering, we decided to get him a tv :tup: It was funny when we presented him with it....... we'd made him have a go on the karaoke (big Elvis fan and a pretty good singer) - when his back was turned me and a mate brought the tv out and set it down on the dancefloor near him and put the birthday card on top. When he'd finished singing my mate grabbed the mic and said "Happy birthday Bill....... we got you a nice birthday card......... and they threw in this tv free of charge" :lol: It was pretty funny........ and all-in-all a damn good night :tup:

BTW Guys, update on my car getting hit. I went to the drive in claims on the guys insurance and the Nationwide rep was VERY accommodating. He didn't even look at my estimate that I wrote very high at $2830, by the time he was done he was at $2750. :shock:
I then mentioned a rental car, he said, well I could just pay you for that right now...*does the math* He paid me for 8 days rental! Total check he cut me came to $2970. :mrgreen:

I was really surprised, usually it's a battle.

He wrote a used fender, reconditioned bumper aftermarket headlamp and turn indicator, a lot to fix the little chip on the hood and repair the inner structure (both those were way higher than mine), R+I (remove and install) and blend the door, R+I the battery, fuseblock etc.... Basically I'm gonna repair the fender and bumper and put a new Head/turn lights in it. Brush touch the hood and then pay my mortgage.

That's what pisses me off about auto insurance....you can pay in for years and years and make no claims or have no tickets and then suddenly you get one speeding ticket, and up go your rates at the next renewal. Or after paying in forever you finally need to make a claim and they fight you the whole way. :x

Yep, like I said above, the only reason they do it is to save money by ripping off the customer by writing a crap estimate. If the owner takes it to a shop the shop will write a supplement for the balance.

And yes, the only inner structure damage is the flange of the apron/front inner headlamp panel is rolled over a bit.

Yep, they got sued and lost a number of years ago over the use of aftermarket crap. They went the high road and just started using all OEM parts (including used/reconditioned). Every other Ins Co. just put a disclaimer in small print stating they reserve the right to use garbage when fixing your car.

The whole point was the A/M stuff might react differently in a crash and voids the factory warranty.

The tolerances on the newer cars are so tight that even the slightest flaw shows up.
