I wish I had the moneez to switch to SSDs and otherwise extra silent system. I saw a nice case for that purpose too, but... I can not afford computer parts right now.

Makes it a lot easier on storage. No need to buy the more expensive external drives, just buy the internals and swap them in and out

The problem is, getting one big enough for the OS and for all your programs would be expensive. Once you get bigger than 32 or 64 gigs on an SSD, they get REALLY expensive

64GB is enough for my OS and Programs. Im using 47GB right now for those and there are some stuff I could easily move to the storage... So for my purposes, it could work.

Hmmmm...maybe you're right. Between my Windows folder and my 2 program files folders, I'm only using 21 gigs of space :-k

And the most bitter irony is that the case has 3 fans running and is almost silent in that respect...except I can hear the damn installed internal harddrive.Every seek noise, every time it writes :lol: (the noise resonates up the drive cage and is loud) It is a great case for other features though.

I've spent hours trying to dampen the damn hard drive noise and ended up putting 4 old dead harddrives in the other bays, helped a little.

So I imagine putting a drive into that dock would vibrate the shit out of it...you don't realize how much a hard drive vibrates until you hold one that's running in your hand.
