Yeah, the weathermen are all atwitter that we should be setting record highs over the next few days as well. Last time it was this hot this long was in 80. Had some hotter days then, but not as many over 100 as we have had this year.

It hasn't been quite that bad here....I doubt we'll come close to breaking the record of most days above 90°, that all time record is 61 days back in 2000. We're at 43 days now (44 after today).

It hit 98° yesterday and they are calling for 100° today. It's never been that hot this late in the year in Denver.

Somebody suggested ice cubes so that the wax becomes brittle and easier to remove, but there is so much of it I doubt it will make a difference, I’ll just have to rip it up and put a wooden floor down.

there are industrial strength cleaners for things like large areas of wax..you may not have to toast the carpet just.

and Minz...I know tooth/jaw pain.It makes everything 1000 times more difficult, I understand.I was in so much pain one day tears were flowing out of the corners of my eyes and I had no idea that I was crying :lol: tres embarrassing.Wish I could give you some advice as I have the aptitude of a 2nd year dental student I'm told by the pro's.Just hold on until you get to the dentist and hold back on the coffee if you can....it tenses your jaw processes, making tooth pain worse.
